Bryce Hensley is one of the Founding Partners of Gould Grieco & Hensley (GGH) and manages the firm’s Mass Tort practice group overseeing the firm’s most complex cases involving mass casualty events, venue liability, toxic exposures, institutional sexual abuse, personal injuries, defective products, and wrongful death. Bryce’s expertise, skill, and dedication have been praised by his thousands of clients, his fellow lawyers, and the judges he regularly appears before nationwide. Along with representing the Firm’s clients, Bryce is frequently entrusted by lawyers from around the country– and even those in Chicago –to serve as their Local Counsel for their clients in cases pending in the Circuit Court of Cook County in bet-the-company litigation. He regularly practices in Courts around the country and has been admitted pro hac vice in California, Michigan, and other states. 

At just 34 years old, Bryce has helped secure over $1.75 billion in global recoveries and has personally recovered over 150 settlements in excess of $1 million.  Since the founding of the Firm just two years ago, Bryce has led or is currently leading the following litigation efforts resulting in over $500 million recovered on behalf of the Firm’s clients:

• Cook County Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) Litigation: Leading efforts on behalf of over 1,000 survivors of childhood sexual abuse as both a co-Lead and Local Counsel for firms around the country with cases against Cook County arising from horrific instances of staff-on-child; staff-directed; and child-on-child sexual abuse at the Cook County JDC, formerly known as the “Audy Home.” Bryce and GGH were specifically brought in to assist in the first three trials, which each feature seven Plaintiffs’ consolidated claims set for late 2026. Status: ACTIVE.
• Illinois UHS Litigation: Representing over 1,000 survivors of childhood sexual abuse against Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) in litigation arising from staff members and fellow patients sexually abusing children housed at UHS youth residential treatment (YRTC) facilities across Illinois. Status: ACTIVE.
• Illinois Youth Center Litigation: Representing over 400 survivors of childhood sexual abuse against the State of Illinois in litigation in the Court of Claims arising from staff members and fellow patients sexually abusing children housed at Illinois Youth Centers (IYC). Status: ACTIVE.
• Ortega Litigation: Led the Firm’s litigation efforts representing over 300 women sexually abused by disgraced Endeavor Health, NorthShore University, and Swedish Covenant Hospital OBGYN Fabio Ortega. Bryce personally argued and won a monumental motion to consolidate five of the women’s cases together for trial that placed the healthcare network in a bet-the-company scenario with all 300+ cases settling less than a month later. Status: SETTLED.
• Mandalay Bay Shooting and Concert Injuries Litigation: At his prior firm, Bryce represented dozens of individuals injured in the Mandalay Bay Shooting on October 1, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada from gunshot wounds and crowd injuries. The case resulted in an $800 Million global settlement for thousands of concertgoers. Status: SETTLED.
• Willowbrook Ethylene Oxide Litigation: At his prior firm, Bryce represented hundreds of individuals diagnosed with cancer and also served as the Court-Appointed Liaison Counsel for over 20 Chicagoland Plaintiffs’ firms representing over 870 clients in cases against manufacturers and other businesses emitting ethylene oxide. On the eve of trial, Bryce personally responded to and argued against a Motion for Summary Judgment and Motions to Exclude Experts that threatened to resolve the entire case against his clients. Bryce won all of the arguments, and the case was resolved weeks later in his clients’ favor for an amount in excess of $450 million. At GGH, Bryce represents clients in similar cases serving as both Litigation and Local Counsel for out-of-state law firms. Status: SETTLED.
• North Suburban Ethylene Oxide Litigation: Represented hundreds of individuals diagnosed with cancer as Local Counsel in the Circuit Court of Cook County in cases against manufacturers and other businesses in Waukegan, Gurnee, and other Northern Suburbs emitting ethylene oxide into residential communities. Since his retention as Local Counsel, claims against three entities have resolved in their entirety with additional claims still pending against multiple additional entities. Status: SETTLED IN PART.
• Northwestern Litigation: Represented over 50 former Northwestern student-athletes victimized by institutional hazing at Northwestern University during the coaching tenure of Patrick Fitzgerald. Bryce led the discovery efforts and motion practice for the Plaintiffs’ in the coordinated litigation that resulted in a record-breaking global settlement. Status: SETTLED.
• AFFF Litigation: Representing over 100 individuals and their family members that were diagnosed or deceased as a result of cancer and other illnesses caused by “forever chemicals” emitted into groundwater around the country. Status: ACTIVE.
• Camp LeJeune Litigation: Representing hundreds of Marines and their family members exposed to toxic chemicals on the North Carolina military base that were diagnosed with or deceased as a result of cancer and other illnesses. Status: ACTIVE.

Prior to founding GGH with his partners, Bryce practiced at one of the largest personal injury law firms in Illinois. He was the youngest partner in the firm’s 25-plus-year history, achieving the honor in less than six years of practice.

In that time, Bryce spearheaded his firm’s representation of over 400 clients in litigation involving over $1.25 billion in recoveries for injured individuals. These included the $800 million settlement over the October 1 shooting at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas and over $450 million in settlements surrounding companies’ emissions of toxic chemicals in Illinois.

In November 2023, Bryce was one of just four alumni featured in Chicago Kent College of Law’s Magazine dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the school’s nationally-ranked Trial Advocacy Team—a program producing over 400 lawyers in the last four decades. In 2020, Crain’s Chicago Business recognized Bryce as one of its “20 in their 20s.” He has been consistently recognized as a “Rising Star,” “Emerging Lawyer,” and “One to Watch” for years by national legal publications.

Bryce graduated magna cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he was bestowed admission into the Order of the Coif and the Bar & Gavel Society. He was also selected as the Captain of Chicago-Kent’s Trial Advocacy Team, helping them achieve a #3 national rank. In 2016, he was one of 16 law students in the country selected to attend the prestigious Top Gun Trial Competition at Baylor University. He was also voted the Best Advocate at the Tournament of Champions in Berkeley, California—the most selective invitational trial competition in the country.
